The Rosenhain and Lippman (R & L) 1969 Camel Train Cereal Toys series was a clip together injection mould series released in 1969. There were 6 different box back panels for cut-out assembly as well.
My collection includes some of the smaller bits that were commonly lost or broken.
The stand-alone signal box with it’s stop / go signal semaphore is often incomplete and the small wheels, wheel pins, tow hooks and loops are commonly missing. Oh, for a kitchen drawer of wheels and pins !
The 2 sets that included the passenger monkeys and smaller items are difficult to find and are often broken with missing tails or limbs.
Do I want a complete train in every colour? Of course, why not! If you found my pages on cereal toys while trying to find a buyer, then I would like to hear from you. I am always looking to purchase single items or collections to add to my own collection.
As always Craig Halls’ book, Breakfast barons, Cereal critters and the Rosenhain & Lipmann Legacy, is my reference bible for cereal toys. This series is found on page 152.
For other cereal toy series and information refer back to the main section page, Australian Cereal Toy Premiums.
