  • From Michael on Micro Models - Australia

Hi, found a micro plane which has TAA on side, 2 props are missing, just wondering if this is a common or rare micro model

    2016/12/23 at 2:32 pm
    • From Tony on Micro Models - Australia

      Hi Michael

It is the only aircraft that was modelled by Micro, although there was meant to be another one that never made it to production.

The condition will determine price but they are relatively common in rough to average condition. Mint boxed is a rarity.

      cheers
      Tony

  • From Laura Shepherd on Buying R&L Cereal Toys 1969 Neptunes Band

Hi, I just sent you a general inquiry message about the R&L toys I have before I found this page which is more specific. Looks like I have about five of the ones you are looking for including the Saxy Salmon in Lilac and Octopussy Hepcat in Purple. If you are still interested I’d love to hear from you!
    Thanks,
    Laura

  • From Barbara Mihan on Cyclops Toys

    G’day Tony,

Sorry to see that the Pedigree dolls shown on this web-site are still regarded as being made in the UK. This is not so as they were made by Moldex in Fairfield, Melbourne in 1965.
For a fee, could a copy of the dolls be sent to me, please?.

It is never mentioned that the Melbourne Micro Models were manufactured by Goodwood (Aust,) Productions.
    Catalogue references available.

    Barbara.

  • From Anthony Austin on Ross Plastics

I recently found a yellow kickboard at my local tip. The embossed whale on the top is that which Ross Plastics have literally used on their kickboards since the 1970’s. The wording above the whale is “Another West End Toy Reg. Des.” At the bottom, below the embossed rectangle (which would have had a sticker for the owner’s name) is “Warning Use Only Under Competent Supervision”. On the bottom it has 5 stream-lines and “Manufactured by Ross Plastics Pty. Ltd. Melbourne”.

    • From admin on Ross Plastics

      Hi Anthony

An interesting find. Not something I would collect but its good to know what else they made. Their kickboard was a registered in Australia asdesign number 198701694. I could not find any reference to West End Toys having a registered design so I assume that they meant registered to Ross Plastics. Although I am guessing they made different variations over the years.

      cheers
      Tony
