  • From Les Collier on Other Diecast, Tinplate, and Plastic Toys

Hi. I am trying to find some old dinosaur toys sold in Woolworths stores throughout the 1960’s. They were a set of eight dinosaurs in four colours, red, yellow, green & red (occasionally though rarely black or brown). The originals were made by USA company AJAX. These were Aussie copies made by Toltoys. The Oz versions had the scientific names along the spines. Often believed to be cereal figures though they are not. If you have any knowledge of these, please let me know. Les

    • From Tony on Corgi Toys

      Hi Glen

Hope the cancer is in remission and I wish you all the best for the future.

Selling toys in the current market is possible but prices are not huge.

However, the specific models you reference are certainly collectable.

I’ll send you an email to discuss further.

      cheers
      Tony

      Hi Robert

Thanks for that info. I’ve had this one for some time and had never looked closely enough.

It is a St Kilda player.

Now that I know, I can go looking for some Melbourne players.

      cheers

    • From Tony on Walking Farmyard

      Hi Shane

Yes, they are a lot of fun and reminders of a different era.

Glad your kids enjoyed them, and hopefully we can inspire them to keep these bits of minor history alive.

      cheers

Hi,great site,i collect old Matchbox Cars mainly regular wheels, and i have some models with missing parts,i hope you can help me.my respect.

    • From Tony on 1 - 75 E Series

      Hi Yasser

I have a huge range of reproduction parts and tyres at my RecoverToy store.

The easiest option is if you register an account at the recovertoy shop and place an order directly.

While RecoverToy also sells on ebay, our on-line store has 4000+ line items with more added each month, many of which we will probably never promote on ebay.

      cheers
      Tony
