A Pope Product diecast Buick Toy car is what started me on this hunt for other Pope Product diecast toys.
Currently I have two examples of this Buick styled sedan in my collection, one is very rough while the other has 80% of what appears to be the original blue paint.
A Pope Product and relatively rare even in Australia where it was made. Apparently based on a Buick Sedan.
This Pope Buick has been badly overpainted and well played with before that. It is a simple one piece shell type casting with axle posts similar to BrenToys and other brands of the era.
The underside of the Pope Buick shows the simple axle and wheel mounting. Solid metal wheels are a feature of this car.
A good magnifying glass or a zoom camera shows the imprint "A Pope Product" on the under-side of the roof of the Buick.
This Pope Product Buick sedan is a second example in my collection. Showing some paint loss to the right rear of the model.
The rest of the paintwork is intact and appears original.
This rear view of the Pope Buick shows the solid blue colour.
The under side of the model is clean showing no signs of over painting.
The wheels are solid metal with pinched axle ends to retain them on the axle.

The top gun still retains much of the silver paint. The second gun is much more play worn but still works.
