The locomotive or engine has 4 driven wheels while the tender has the standard wagon style twin axle bogies front and rear.
The locomotive in this set is in excellent condition. From the catalog this should be part number 666SM / 03951A (the latter probably referencing the tender)
The front of the locomotive is unmarked with all the plastic intact.

A Louis Marx 05585 Auto Car Wagon with 4 Cars. The only fault is that one wheel is missing from one of the vans.
The operating box car has a lever action that activates when the car hits the platform, opening the box car door and allowing the workman to exit with a a sack of something on his shoulder.

The loading dock appears to be essential for the operating box car. I am not sure if the platform was included with the box car or not.
