There is a range of toys Australian Made by Thomas Hore Toys. These are made of plastic and are large relative to the common 1:43 scale die-cast models of the era, probably closer to 1:24 or even 1:18.
I have limited information on these models but have confirmed that this large plastic tray truck that is in my collection is most likely made by Thomas Hore an associate or a peer of John Brent and Alex Tolmer.
My model is a flat bed or stake side truck which is missing the sides, at least there are holes where sides could have been fitted. I have seen pictures of a cement mixer and a dumper truck on the same cab chassis which are known to be Thomas Hore models.

The rear tray is fitted with perimeter holes that suggest it may have had stake sides fitted at some point.
The attachment of the rear try is via this single spring clip and a couple of plastic hook and eye points at the rear.
Not quite clear but with the right lighting the Made in Australia label can be seen. There are no other identifying marks on the cab chassis.
The rear chassis and cab appear to be common to several truck type variations. The wheels are a simple plastic press fit to the 3mm axle rods.
