This Blue-Box model is similar to the Matchbox Lesney 32a Jaguar XK140 coupe.
The model is identified on the base plate as 7421 and Made in Hong Kong. Note the quality control ! The front right hand wheel has been caught in the chassis to body glue application.
This counter display box, or outer carton, held 3 Dozen (36) assorted Blue-Box models for the retailer to display.
The out side of the box featured pictures of the 7423 Dumper half out of its own box. Text advertising "Blue-Box", "Plastic Toy Car Series" and an optimistic "Authentic Miniatures" prominent on the header card.
The lid of the box when folded back created the header card for the display counter.
