Today I have added some new cereal toys to the collection.
The Elephant Ride from the 1969 Carnival series in 3 colours of blue, green and red. I previously only had an orange item. Just need yellow and grey to complete the colour array.
And a new flicker or wiggle ring of the drummer in an orange type 2 ring base. See my Wiggle Ring pages for more details.
The question, is this a Cereal Toy or not?
It was in a small collection of cereal toys that I purchased recently and it appears to have been partnered with a Cowboy from the late 1950’s so the era is possibly correct, but it is not included in the list of Cowboy and Indian cereal toy series. It is nicely detailed on a small rectangular pedestal base or plinth. Blue flexible plastic or poly-something.
The indian brave with shield and dagger looks closer to the series mentioned in Craigs book, which is a polyethylene set of 10. This one is not in the items shown but the dagger and flat stylisation of the model has similarities. Refer Breakfast barons, Cereal critters and the Rosenhain & Lipmann Legacy page 199.
The updated Crater Critter galleries now include a gallery of 1968 series 1 and 1972 series 2 comparisons to help distinguish them.
The galleries were also expanded and now include all of my collection of both the 1968 Crater Critters and 1972 Crater Critters.
More information and gallery links are found at my R&L Cereal Toy Crater Critters information page.
I collected over the last month or so some really nice items from a collection.
The ones I added today are a blue Valiant Station Wagon with grey wheels, a green speed boat complete and with a matching green trailer, and a red Jaguar E-Type with the rare Tow Truck towing bar.

The curating of my toys is taking more time than I ever planned for and I forget where I am up to. So I am starting to post my site updates into this list as much as anything for me to keep track of the changes.
Today was all about my cereal toy collection. I’ve recently acquired a large collection along with several other smaller purchases and I need to sort them out. My display cabinets are taking shape and I now have space to display the cereal toys that have been boxed for years.
The pages and galleries updated today were:
Photo galleries of my personal collection. Most of which is safely packed away. All the galleries are organised to group common brands or series and cross referenced for searching.
