Added a small gallery today of Polythene Miniatures from Hong Kong. These are another of the Matchbox Lesney look-a-like models.
These small models were produced in Hong Kong in the 1960’s and while some of the models were not proto-types that Matchbox made, the box style with the arched writing mimicked the Matchbox marketing style of the era.
These simple plastic models were not particularly well made, and scale was not an issue. Fit-to-box sizing was the order of the day.
There are more models and information at Gary’s Cars website pages on Polythene Miniatures.
