My toys site was created a number of years ago and as with most things it is time for a spring clean (yes, it is Autumn in Australia, but..).
So please excuse me while I break a few things in order to create a fresh new look for the site.

Thanks to David I now have a Glenn FJ Holden sedan in my collection.
L & I Glenn plastic toys were made in Melbourne in the 1940’s and 1950’s and in 1956 they released a Holden FJ sedan in a range of colours.
I was pleased to add this blue coloured model to my collection and added a new section for L & I Glenn under Australian Plastic Toys.

I was asked recently about a small model of a Holden HK Monaro and as I was researching this I came across references to a board game that featured HK series Holden models.
The Touring Australia with Holden Board Game is one I was not previously aware of.
There are a few references:
ByteBoss Document References refers to an auction result list from 2004. One of the items listed is described as:
“Touring Australia With Holden. Promotional Board Game for HK Holden. Has Green HK Kingswood on cover of box, red HK Kingswood on board. Box in V.G.C, collapsed in two corners, board in E.C, includes all pieces. (For 2-6 players)”
A more recent reference gave me a photo of the game from a GumTree listing. The listing is no longer available but I snagged the image from Google archives. In terms of value, the auction listing apparently achieved AU$190 in 2004. The Gumtree listing is not known but I expect it would have been lower as recent prices on collectables compared to 2004 are significantly lower.
If you have information on this game or have one to sell please get in touch with me.
On another note, in the Auction Results spreadsheet from ByteBoss there were other toys of interest,
There are other examples and it is interesting to contrast the list of models in among the Holden 1:1 scale parts and ephemera.
I have added more R&L cereal toy photos to the gallery today.
The 1967 Airport set has been updated with 15 new photos.
I added 4 new items to the 1969 Carnival series gallery.
Today I have added some new cereal toys to the collection.
The Elephant Ride from the 1969 Carnival series in 3 colours of blue, green and red. I previously only had an orange item. Just need yellow and grey to complete the colour array.
And a new flicker or wiggle ring of the drummer in an orange type 2 ring base. See my Wiggle Ring pages for more details.
A couple of recent additions to my collection are two Pope Product Aussie Cap Guns.
Review the photos and updated page for A Pope Product Diecast Toy Gun.
Added a small gallery today of Polythene Miniatures from Hong Kong. These are another of the Matchbox Lesney look-a-like models.
These small models were produced in Hong Kong in the 1960’s and while some of the models were not proto-types that Matchbox made, the box style with the arched writing mimicked the Matchbox marketing style of the era.
These simple plastic models were not particularly well made, and scale was not an issue. Fit-to-box sizing was the order of the day.
There are more models and information at Gary’s Cars website pages on Polythene Miniatures.
My Blue Box Plastic Toys pages have been updated with more details and a fresh gallery page.
There are several I am missing from the models that I am aware of and if you are looking for more information I’d recommend Gary’s Cars site with lots of plastic models that are copies of the UK made models of the 1960’s.

I managed to make some time today to create new pages for Cyclops, Moldex, and Ross Plastics.
The Cyclops page I should have added ages ago, but I do not have much in the way of toys, just a fabulous Cyclops Toys sales brochure from the 1960’s.
Moldex Ltd made plastic toys in Melbourne in the 1950’s and was also acquired by Lines Bros in the UK. Moldex produced a number of their products like Scalextric and Tri-ang trains for the Australian market. I have added a 1960’s Moldex plastic tractor to my collection.
Ross Plastics was a business I was not aware of until I picked up a plastic boat from another collector recently. Labelled as Ross Plastics Melbourne and West End Products, I will need to search for further information and try to date this model, although I expect it will be late 1970’s or even later.
The new pages are available from the links above or below.
I first wrote about the Pope Products B-29 Supa-Fort Aircraft model earlier this year when I was researching the Buick diecast toy car that I had added to my collection.
Thanks to a contact from Queensland I am now the proud owner of my own Pope Products B-29 Supa-Fort Aircraft! My thanks to Tony Lourensen.
It is in wonderful condition, although somewhat pitted, it is complete with the wheels and propellors and even some of the RAF wing decals are intact at each wing tip.Watch movie online A Cure for Wellness (2017)
