A small collection of Dinky Motorcycles from around the 1950’s.
A Dinky 37a Motorcycle and Civilian rider model in good but not excellent condition.
The Dinky Toys book suggests that this is pre-war as the rider is in green with a brown helmet and gloves.
However, he should also have brown boots and these are apparently black.
Has this one had some black paint touch ups to the lower section. I cannot pick it if it has.

It is post war as the faces of the policemen are not detailed. Pre-war there would have been some extra hand painting to depict a helmet strap and eyes.
The paint on this model is in great condition for something made circa 1947.

As shown in very good condition with all three original wheels.
The model was removed from the Dinky range in 1948/9 and this is one of the later ones but not the end of production as the last ones had grey plastic wheels. Reference Dinky Toys Mike and Sue Richardson pp68-69.
